Al Get Your Shine On

All-American Quarter Horse Congress Champion; Al Get Your Shine On is an exciting young stallion standing to the public beginning in 2022.  Purchased as a weanling, he has been raised and trained through his career by Travis McColley, McColley Quarter Horses of Hillsdale, Michigan. ‘Moonie’ has had exceptional success in the show pen and has always been easy to prepare and get shown and has been a joy for all the exhibitors who have had the opportunity to show him.

In 2015, Al Get Your Shine On was shown by Non-Pros winning the Hunter Lunge Line at the prestigious Southern Belle Futurity and at the All-American Quarter Horse Congress.  Returning to Congress in 2016 he won again!  This time in the Two-Year Old Limited Masters Hunter Under Saddle, which proved he was not just good minded but also possessed the movement to compete on the National level in Open events.  He continued showing in Hunter Under Saddle and in Pleasure Driving events earning multiple Top 5 and 10 AQHA Year End High Point Championships and retired with an AQHA Performance Register of Merit and Career Winnings of $12,365.

The breeding shed is where we believe ‘Moonie’ will ‘Shine’ brightly!  Al Get Your Shine On has that legendary pedigree that resulted in oh so many exceptional performers and Champions!  His sire; Allocate Your Assets, a Million Dollar Producing and Equi-Stat Leading Sire, Last Detail; the All-Time AQHA Leading Hunter Under Saddle Sire and his maternal grandsire; Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes winner and notable broodmare sire, Pleasant Colony highlight this incredible ancestry.  His dam, Shining Details, was a NSBA World Champion, a Two-Time Congress Reserve Champion with Open and Youth Superiors in Hunter Under Saddle and earnings of $9,340.55.  Shining Details produced 7 performing foals to include multiple AQHA Year End High Point Champions, AQHA World Show Top 5’s and 10’s, Performance ROM earners and a Performance Superior earner.

In the spring of 2021 we welcomed his first foal crop!  Al Get Your Shine On sires a gorgeous, deep hock and extremely flat front legged foals.  They have that fancy, elegant look with the size and bone structure to become top competitors in the industry.  Proven performance as an individual and on both sides of his pedigree, Al Get Your Shine On offers mare owners the exceptional genetics for success.

Established in 2010, the husband and wife team of Travis and Nichole McColley, operate their horse training business; McColley Quarter Horses, LLC (MQH).  Producing multiple Congress and World Champion horses, they specialize in Youth and Amateur All-Around events.  The McColleys look forward to bringing their experience and expertise to the promotion of Al Get Your Shine On and his offspring.  Foals will be eligible for many futurities and incentive programs including the NSBA Stallion Incentive Fund, NSBA Breeders Championship Futurity, Southern Belle Futurity, Michigan Quarter Horse Association and others.
